Hi reading through some of the other threads I can see this as kinda been raised before I was just wondering if the route of the issue as ben found and if theres any work around. The problem for me is as soon as the vbox addon fetches the epg from the vbox it crashes. this happens in windows and android. The problem on arises when using an external xlm file in the vbox its fine with ota epg but this as all the bbc listings missing in the uk. The same set up does not cause a issue iptvsimpleclient but that doesn't have the record function of the vbox add on. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Also forgot to mention I'm having this issue on android and windows 10 version of kodi. I've also noticed you have a thread about a similar issue not sure if it's relevant. The xml file I'm using is. Http:/www.xmltv.co.uk/xmltv.co.uk.xml. Thanks

Potentially fixed by:

#226
#227

Note that the external XMLTV is removed in the above PRs too.

@leeintheuk do you still have this issue? If so can you provide a crash and debug log?

With those from both systems should be easy enough to figure out if it's still an issue.

As well as the PRs above may also be fixed by #228 and #229
