There might already be a foundation here for sending it to something like Home Assistant or anything that supports MQTT! |

This can certainly be done. I would need to do more research on using Bluetooth or WiFi to send commands while the app is running in the background. Once that’s handled, sending the data to a server should be straightforward. |

Amazingly fast response, thank you. As an aside my use-case for this is to try and move away from the Hyundai / Kia Home Assistant integration with relies on the Bluelink service which is cloud based and ... very poor and also periodically goes down. It wouldn't be a complete replacement as the Bluelink service can collect information from the car at any time (regardless if it's started or I'm near it, etc) but at least a "local" solution like this would be more reliable and not subject to being blocked if they decide to disallow 3rd party access. |

I'm looking for a solution that will allow me to collect near real time or even periodic data from an ODB2 device and send it to a central server, ideally Home Assistant.
Curious if there is interest in exploring that an a feature or if anyone knows of another project that already does this for iOS. I have found torque but that app only exists for Android.
