V2.0 release includes protocols, 2D-3D models and video-tutorial assembly of the newest miniscope version, MINI2P 2023.
The main features of MINI2P 2023 compared to Zong 2022 (V1.1) are:
- A GRIN-connected fiber bundle to replace the non-commercially available TFB;
- Small incident angle of the collimator decreases the scanning distortion;
- Tlens can be mounted in-house and it is “align-free”;
- A quick-mounting mechanism for mounting the MEMS on the scopebody, and MEMS can be easily changed if broken;
- Can be assembled in 2 hours;
- 8% less weight (2.23 g now) - only two scopebody parts instead of three.
Further documentation has also been added to Protocols: Mini objectives catalogue, an updated shopping list with new items and integrated solutions available commercially, and an operate instruction protocol. As Software, new MDFs were added compatible with both MINI2P versions. Moreover, a performance tests protocol will follow shortly.
Lastly, companies are developing a commercial version which will come soon.
