Struggling to perform release and one-shot in one go

I would like to release a key and simultaneously activate one-shot for that same key.

The relevant clause in my switch statement:

(multi (on-press release-vkey alt)
       ...
       (one-shot $timeout alt))
break

Here, I would like to unlock Alt and then hold it for one-shot. However, it seems that release-vkey happens after one-shot, as my code seems to do nothing. I also tried to comment out the release-vkeyline, but in that case, Alt remains locked forever and one-shot does nothing.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Using the latest pre-release, you can try adding (one-shot-pause-processing 3) within multi.

Vkey events get put into a queue so you need a bigger number, try 5 to 10.
