Grateful for the opportunity to assist your staff in preparing for the upcoming “silver tsunami’. A vast group of employees are eligible for retirement. Honorably, Pewlett-Hackard wants to be prepared for alterations in the infrastructure as well as the well-being of those departing, ie., retirement packages, open position, possible staffing adjusts, and employee training. Identification of employees eligible for the mentorship needs to be assessed.
Retirement Titles - Retrieved number of employees by recent job title, filter by count
Using DataFrames and tabular data, we designed the entity relationship diagrams (ERDs), imported data into a database, performed some troubleshooting on common errors, and created queries that facilitated our understanding of your company allowing us to make suggestions for these highly anticipated adjustments. Using an online tool called Quick Database Diagrams, we created a conceptual ERD.
- Identification of possible employees retiring • There are 90,398 individuals who are retiring based on the birth dates from 01-01-1952 and 12-31-1955. • will lose the most amount of staff and Management dept had the least amount of retiring individuals.
- Eligible for a mentorship • There are 1,549 individuals who are eligible for the mentorship program.
The analysis can be very beneficial for the future of your company. The number of employees retiring, and addition of the new employees PH will be experiencing major alterations and planning for such dynamics will lead to further success of the company. The company will need to replace 90,398 roles within the company as the "silver tsunami" begins to make an impact. With this, we could provide a further assessment to reveal if there enough qualified employee to meet the needs and how many will be necessary to hire in the future. With these statistics, 38 departments will be impacted by this.
The eligibility for mentorship analysis revealed 1,549 individuals can participate. Working closely with your department heads we can gain an understanding of the qualified retirement ready employees in the departments who can mentor the next generation of employees. To begin that assessment we have provided data to initiate that journey to find mentors for the program.
