Project Name Code of Conduct

Introduction

As contributors and maintainers of the Rupture Social Media project, we are committed to creating a friendly and inclusive environment for everyone involved. This code of conduct outlines our expectations for all participants, as well as the consequences for unacceptable behavior.

We value diversity and encourage participation from people of all backgrounds and identities. By participating in this project, you are agreeing to follow these guidelines and contribute to fostering an open and welcoming community.

Expected Behavior

We expect all participants to uphold the following behaviors:

  • Be respectful and considerate towards others.
  • Use welcoming and inclusive language.
  • Be open to constructive criticism and feedback.
  • Exercise empathy and show kindness in your interactions.
  • Respect differing viewpoints and experiences.
  • Be mindful of your words and actions.

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are considered unacceptable and will not be tolerated:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or any form of offensive behavior based on race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
  • Personal attacks or derogatory comments, whether written or verbal.
  • Intimidation or threats, either explicit or implied.
  • Publishing or sharing others' private information without their explicit consent.
  • Any form of trolling, spamming, or disruptive behavior.
  • Deliberate disruption or hijacking of discussions or threads.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you encounter or witness any behavior that violates the code of conduct, please notify the project maintainers immediately. You can report the issue by contacting us.

All reports will be kept confidential, and we are committed to protecting the identity of the reporter. Project maintainers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender, temporary or permanent expulsion from the project, or contacting appropriate authorities in case of legal violations.

Attribution

This code of conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.0.

Scope

This code of conduct applies to all project spaces, including project repositories, issue trackers, discussion forums, social media channels, and any other project communication platform. It also applies to interactions outside the project spaces when they have a direct impact on the project and its community.
