Hey guys, I wonder why this project doesn't get more stars, I didn't try the component yet, but do you have an idea of the current limitations (performance, usability, etc)? Why in your view this project doesn't get more stars/installs? Seems like a nice (probably best open-source option) off-the-shelf react-based component.

Any thoughts here @RamziWeslati @atfera ? Did you get feedback from users of any kind (internally at iktos, external from iktos, etc)?

Also, I'm curious to know if you use client-side only rendering everywhere in your app? Or you rely on python/rdkit server-side rendering in some places, and if so, why?

I'm gradually working on the next steps for rdkit-js (see here rdkit/rdkit-js#389), I would be greatful for your thoughts on this 🙏 .

Hey @MichelML, sorry for the delayed response, I was on vacation.

Not sure why this package hasn't had any user base, regarding optimisation and usability, we made sure to make @iktos-oss/rdkit-provider able to handle and scale the drawing of hundreds of molecules efficiently. And we've added some interaction features (zoom and atom/bonds click handlers) which have enhanced the user experience.

Currently, we’re using the @iktos-oss/rdkit-provider and @iktos-oss/molecule-representation packages in all our projects, except one, which is in the process of migration to utilize both these.

However, outside of Iktos, we only know of you using/testing these packages, so any feedback you can provide would be highly appreciated.
I am wondering if the lack of users might be due to the documentation which, at present, only consists of some setup instructions and a storybook to display the features, or perhaps it’s an issue of visibility within the community.

Any insights or suggestions you can share would be appreciated.

Thanks again for your interest and input!
