Issue apparently is with pip installing line_profiler, rkern/line_profiler#132, and hopefully this will be resolved there & then it will be resolved for us.

Workarounds in the meantime are to either use another install mechanism (e.g. conda works) or to follow directions here in the comments in that issue (I have not tested): rkern/line_profiler#132 (comment)
