Differences for the footswitch project

There is any difference between use cupidfoot to use footswitch to configure this pedal you mentioned?

I confess I didn't test that other project. It seems written in C and uses hidapi while cupidfoot is Python and uses libusb. Their seems to be used by more people and as such is probably more tested.
