Dashboard shows "all time" by default, instead of current year

Not sure if this warrants a change request or a bug report... When accessing the dashboard, it shows the monthly sum of all time expenses. So, if I have maintenance done in February last year, it shows the sum of that with the maintenance I did this year. I think that, by default, the interface should show the current year, unless there is a good reason to do it this way.

Second question: can we get a monthly detailed view of the chart, besides the yearly view. Something that would let us visualize the monthly distance a bit better.
