Specify license and provide license file

I realize this project is pretty much abandonware, however on the slight chance of this being fixed ever:

We have to package this project as a test dependency for another on Arch Linux.
We require specific licensing attribution for this, unfortunately this package only specifies "BSD".

Can you please specify which exact BSD variant this code is licensed under, provide a license file with your name and date and cut a new release?
