Where can I find the definition of the default theme ?

I like the default theme (i.e. when not defining theme in the config), but I would like to adjust it a bit (i.e. I prefer a full black background for better contrast).

However, I could not find the definition of the default theme.
What I did:

• Checked ghostty +list-themes for any theme that could look like the default theme or has some indication in the naming that it is the default theme, but I couldn't find it.
• Used "Digital Colour Meter" on macOS to determine that the background color has an RGB value of #292c34. Then I grepped for this value in /Applications/Ghostty.app/Contents/Resources/ghostty/themes, but had no match. For other themes, this technique works though.
• Looked for 292C34 and 292c34 in the source of ghostty but couldn't find any match either.

My question: Where can I find the default theme's definition ?

thanks for asking this, I had the same question! I like the default theme and am just looking to 'inverse' it to a light mode

This does not exist afaik you would need to reverse the hex colors yourself if you want a true inverse for light mode
(take 0xFFFFFF - theme color should work)

ghostty +show-config --default will show the entire palette for the default theme I believe its called StyleDark or something similar (Ive only seen other people call it that so im unsure where the name comes from since I cant find any reference to it)

someone just put up a PR to add it into iterm2 color schemes repo (which ghostty pulls from) for other terminals

One little difference: selection-foreground should be equal to the background color
