macOS: quick terminal covered by dock #5328
-
I have my dock is on the left side on the screen. Ghostty 1.0.1 is rendered correctly on top of if, but tip (9c8c53b, and also earlier versions) looks like this: This should be reproducible with a minimal config file that only contains the setting for the quick terminal key. |

Unfortunately, if we set the window higher than the dock, then IME input (i.e. inputting Japanese characters) does not work in the quick terminal because the macOS IME windows are lower than the dock too so they'd be hidden. It appears in iTerm2 the dropdown terminal makes space for the dock (so it's not full screen width). Would that be a viable option? Alternately, we could automatically hide the dock when the quick terminal shows and unhide the dock when the quick terminal hides away, which is something that sounds kind of nice to me.... |

I think doing it the iTerm2 way would be a good default option. |

Works as expected after #5363, thanks! |

I aesthetically prefer autohiding the dock, I think it ended up working better. PR here #5361. Happy to hear your feedback there.
