Cannot edit config files in Linux

Hello,
I set up a raspberry pi server to play with, ssh-ed into it and began to set it up, and harden it accordingly. When I wanted to edit the "sshd_config" file in the /etc/ssh folder I got the following error: Error opening terminal: xterm-ghostty.. The same type of error I got when I tried to open "htop" utility to see the current load on the cores and how much memory I have available: Error opening terminal: xterm-ghostty.. Is this a known issue? Has it been reported before?
I would like to see what is the issue here and how I can solve it. Let me know if this topic/issue has been brought up before.

Have you followed terminfo docs?

I have followed the terminfo docs and copied Ghostty's terminfo to the remote machine, but it doesn't seem to solve the issue that I am seeing. I still get those error messages.
Anything else I can try?

If the issue is ssh its definitely terminfo, does alias to xterm-256color like the docs say work?

So I have not found any reference in the docs related to xterm-256color. Maybe I have not looked in the right place.
Anyway, I exported the TERM variable to xterm256color and printed the output of a command that shows if the terminal supports 256 colors. I attached the result I get. From what I see, it supports 256 colors, so no issues there.

Any idea how I can solve this issue with terminfo ??

The infocmp | ssh tic command only copies terminfo as the local user if you want to edit a file with root permission you need to install the terminfo for the root user or in the global directory shown with tic -d

Also ghostty supports much more than 256colors its a true color terminal

@Kondor2003 infocmp | ssh tic - will duplicate your terminfo into the remote machine. From the screenshot I see that there is a ~/.terminfo so this looks ok for the labboy user as long as the TERMINFO environment variable points to it. But to edit /etc/sshd_config you are using the root account which doesn't have the same setup, so infocmp | sudo tic - to fix (until the updated ncurses is available via your package manager).
