There have been talks about a ssh wrapper for stuff like shell integration / automatic terminfo copying but mitchell has stated he does not want to have builtin ssh handling like you are asking in this case because of the inherit security risk |

WezTerm does a great job when it comes to connecting to SSH servers which is what I do most of the time. By using libssh (I unfortunately don't know the technical details why exactly), scrolling for example is much smoother compared to just using openssh within ghostty or other terminals (including wezterm).
As this is the one feature I'm missing with ghostty I'd love to see this integrated!
