When I launch the default Terminal and then start ghostty like so:
Now, when I exit ghostty, using CTRL+D , the parent never exits;

Any commands which I run in ghostty keep notifying the shell's panel: The missing icon in the notification is something which can be ignored for now as that is probably due to the custom install location of EDIT: please ignore the desktop notifications option, I found the option to disable it! |

Just an update: even launching the binary directly does the same, i.e. process does not exit. clicking the ❌ symbol on the top right does make window close correctly. On a hunch I searched for "ghostty and CTRL D" and found this: adding Should we close this discussion? Now, "only" looking forward to GUI configuration/settings manager within ghostty, inside of editing the text file directly! One can wish!!! 🪄 |

gtk-adwaita = false
fixes the "process not exiting" issue.Should we close this discussion?
