Purpose of this discussion

If you are a community plugin author or maintainer, please subscribe to this discussion. This where the Gatsby Core team will be communicating information regarding upcoming / in-process changes to Gatsby that may require updates to the plugins you maintain.

Why separate discussion?

Based on feedback from some of our community plugin maintainers, it was a bit difficult to determine whether a specific change warranted an update to a plugin. Having a dedicated discussion for plugin maintainers makes this content more focused, and easier to follow.

Why is this discussion locked?

At least initially, we want to make sure we're not spamming the maintainers with comments coming from individuals that are not in the Gatsby Core team. Again, this is a mechanism to give plugin maintainers advanced notice, and a very clean way, of framework updates that may warrant changes in the plugins they maintain.

What if I have a question? What do I do?

We have two primary venues for Q&A

• The #plugin-authoring channel in our Discord server
