Terraform setup

prerequisites

• install aws cli
• setup an access token or other authentication methods on your AWS account

terraform CLI Install

• Follow the installation here: https://developer.hashicorp.com/terraform/tutorials/aws-get-started/install-cli, for ex using brew

• install zsh / bash autocomplete: terraform -install-autocomplete

VSCode extensions

• HashiCorp Terraform: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=HashiCorp.terraform

Terraform cloud

• create a new account
• terraform login to create an access token associated with your local env
• setup workspace variables for AWS access key and secret
