Having a block of test code that cycles all free spinning motors through a range of speeds over the course of 5 minutes or so would be valuable. Motors and gearboxes benefit from such warm up, especially if ambient temperature is cold.
Something like 30 seconds of run in each direction at a handful of speeds from slow to fast should do.
This would only apply to free spinning motors like drivetrain, not to limited motors like winches or arms.
