It’s only a compatibility library but it creates issues such as bvschaik/julius#27.

The general rule is not to ship static libraries in the runtime (rightly so!). As SDL2main isn't dynamic and seems to provide only main entry points depending on target OS, I think it should be fixed in the project itself.
