Installs open-vm-tools if the target machine is a VMWare guest. VMWare fully supports it nowadays:

If you instead want to use VMWare tools there are a number of ansible roles doing just that.
Role has been developed and tested on CentOS 7, with ansible 1.9.
None. Everything should work out of the box.
No dependencies.
Including an example of how to use your role (for instance, with variables passed in as parameters) is always nice for users too:
