Describe the bug
Every time I load or reload the extension page I get a banner appears saying "Automatic local backups
Missing "edit permission" for the backup folder: "GroupSpeedDial Backup".
When I click on the banner, Opera crashes.
Apparently the folder has all read/write permissions.

Steps To Reproduce
Every time I reload the page

Expected behavior
No banner, no crash

Device info:

  • operating system: MacOS Sequoia 15.0.1
  • Browser and version: Opera 114.0.5282.102
  • GroupSpeedDial version: 26.1

Additional info
Add any other info about the problem here.

Hello,
I can reproduce it here even when using Windows.
Note that extensions should not be able to crash your browser, so this is a 100% browser bug.
Opera should see the crash reports so there is a good chance, they know about it and they plan to fix it.
Until then, you should disable "Automatic local backups" in my extension Options page / Import backup tab.
