Vertical Left column positions apps out of order

When you set it to unfurl from the bottom-left, pointing up along the side of the screen, there appears to be no way to show the apps in a scrolling list with the most recently used apps at the bottom-left. I tried every possible setting and gave up on a scrolling list for this arrangement.

Could this be fixed? Thanks!
