Taskbar sometimes expands and defocuses apps when clicking on specific part of the screen

as shown in the videos attached, i tried multiple times to recrecreate this issue but was only able to a few times. the glitch unfocuses the current app and expands in a new window which does not happen when expanding it normally. it is especially infuriating because the glitched area overlaps with the pause button for geometry das.
