We strongly believe that electronic peer-review or collaborative authorship operations work much better with the Gitlab flavor of Git Flow. Fundamentallly, electronic collaboration now depends upon everyone being at least mildly Git-aware and it is best when they think natively in terms of the Git digraph and how/we use use different branches in Git.
