Purpose

WATex is developed to indirectly participate in Sustanaible Development Goals N6 achievement which is `Ensure access to water and sanitation for all. The design of WATex using the Machine learning methods such as SVM, KNN, DTC, ANN, and others with the combination of geophysical methods has mainly four goals such as to:

  • Contribute to selecting the best anomaly presumed to give a suitable flow rate(FR) according to the type of hydraulic required for the targeted population. Indeed WATex allows the prediction of the different FR classes from an upstream geoelectrical features analysis.   • Intend to supply drinking water for regions faced with water scarcity by predicting FR before drilling
    to limit the failures of drillings and dry boreholes.
  • Minimize the risk of dry boreholes and failure drillings which lead to affordable project budget elaboration during the water campaigns. Less expensive projects are economically profitable in terms of funding-raise from partners and organizations' aid.
  • Involve water sanitation for population welfare by bringing a piece solution to their daily problems. The latter goal should not be developed for the first release.

Target

The development of WATex targets AMCOW, UNICEF, WHO and governments and geophysical local firms during the Drinking water supply campaigns. For instance, WATex works with SVM kernel machines to create robust models to minimize the risk of unsuccessful drillings including the dry boreholes. from computing relevant geoelectrical features. The latter is determined from the electrical resistivity profile ( ERP) and the * vertical electrical sounding (VES)* considered the less expensive geophysical method for companies with low operating budgets. Indeed, minimizing the unsuccessful leads to affordable project budget elaboration during the campaigns for drinking water supply in terms of funding-raise from partners and organizations aids.

Synopsis and Goals

The mission of the toolbox is to bring a piece of solution in a wide program of WATER4ALL especially in Africa and participate in Sustanaible Development Goals N6 achievement.
