Suggest close-by locations to user

On opening the app, users are presented with a long list of locations and may end up choosing the wrong one because they do not read the list to its end.

To ease the location selection, present a shortened list to the user by highlighting all locations within a radius of 30 or 40 km. Preferrably, move all highlighted locations to the beginning of the list.

Yes. Maybe we just highlight the nearest 3 instances in front of the list. Nevertheless they should be also still visible in the "all locations list", so "move" might be are misinterpreting verb here.
