Bug: Dissent vv0.0.30 no longer opens after recent flatpak updates #314

I have a few questions:

Also, it's rather interesting that your GTK is using Vulkan. AFAIK, GTK should still be using its GL renderer by default. |
I believe Nvidia (or mesa?) just changed the new default to Vulkan, so this change literally just went live very recently, when these issues starting happening. I'm getting reports that it's a mesa issue perhaps, here's two relevant links. There's nothing wrong with Dissent itself, so I believe you are free to close this issue if you like. If I use Flatseal and turn off "Wayland windowing system" then I can get Dissent to launch as it just falls back to X11. Hoping upstream gets a fix out soon though. |
Closing since this doesn't seem to be a Dissent bug, but feel free to continue the discussion. I, for one, am looking forward to using the Vulkan renderer. |
Greetings,
I'm on Fedora 40 Gnome 46.5, fully up to date and ran the flatpak update today and now Dissent won't start, here is the terminal output I am getting below. Btw, it may be relevant, but I am using an Acer laptop with hybrid Intel/Nvidia graphics running Nvidia 560.35.03. However I didn't have any issues with flatpaks running until recent flatpak updates.
Please let me know if you need any more detailed information.
