Visible/Audio feedback is specified. Are there going to be rewards? Definitely want to display the teams current score, but micro rewards in the form of images/video/sounds/animation if done well can enhance the positive feeling of the players. Using a hot/cold system based on distance can help here.

Casinos have this mastered. Give people small frequent rewards.
