There's nothing unethical about blocking adverts. The operator of a website has every right to serve me ads, but that right ends where their website ends. I have every right to do whatever I want with their content, and if the thing is "remove ads", they have nowhere to complain. (What are you going to complain about next? That I also record TV shows on video and skip the adverts when I play them?)
