With the increasing complexity and variety of threats faced by our clients and principals, it's essential to have a robust system in place to analyze and assess potential threats from various communication channels. One such channel that often gets overlooked is traditional letters and emails. We're considering building a comprehensive tool into FortiPath to analyze these communications and generate a detailed Threat Assessment.

Here's a breakdown of the proposed features:

1. OCR (Optical Character Recognition):

• Extract text from scanned letters or images.
• Convert non-digital communications into a format that can be further analyzed.

2. Dietz Scale:

• Dietz Scale is a proven method to assess the potential threat level of a communication.
• Analyze the content of the letter or email against the Dietz Scale criteria to determine the threat level.

3. OSINT Web Crawler:

• Use the Web Crawler to gather open-source intelligence on any names, addresses, or other identifiable information found in the communication.
• This can provide context and potentially identify known threats or individuals.

4. Report Writing:

• Utilize FortiPath's Report Writing capabilities to generate a detailed and tailored report on the threat assessment.
• This ensures that the findings are presented in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.

5. Behavioral Analysis:

• Analyze the tone, style, and choice of words in the communication to determine the sender's intent and emotional state.
• This can provide additional insights into the potential threat level and the sender's motivations.
