project-root is a very useful parameter. But it is not documented.

project-root = path/to/project/root
project-root = ${buildout:directory}/..

ok - that was obvious to me.
and i'm pretty sure my question was wrong or at least not precise enough.

how does this effect vscode?
what is achieved by setting a project root?
are there features of vscode triggered by that, or vscode addons use this?
