Snapshots Feature not showing up

I'm told that version 225+ along with libvirt-dbus 1.4.0 should support snapshots but that feature is not showing up for me.

It doesn't seem clear how to easily update cockpit versions either. I tried downloading the 241 tarball for example but that led to a dependency nightmare.

Any suggestions?

Curious where this should be? I just installed Cockpit and machines today, but can't see this anywhere. @tgwaste

I installed it with ubuntu@cockpit:~$ . /etc/os-release and then sudo apt install -t ${VERSION_CODENAME}-backports cockpit-machines is that right? Sorry know I'm just hijacking your thread I appreciate the help

22.04 should support cockpit version 296
maybe

echo "deb http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal-backports main restricted universe multiverse" >> /etc/apt/sources.list

@kieron : Yes, it is right. cockpit-machines is an independent project with different version numbers.

@tgwaste Yes, Ubuntu 22.04 (jammy) has the current version 294, but @kieron runs 20.04 (focal).

thanks both, I did indeed jump to 22.04 and then I have snapshots upon updating, so assuming i got all updated :-) Thanks! sorry again for thread-jack.
