I'll try to explain my train of thoughts, maybe I misunderstood something.

First question, you seem to imply that there is a difference between these two sentences and I don't see it, would you mind explaining what I am missing?

that's exactly my thought too. Even though i understand what "Use specific tags in prompt" does, rewording along the lines of "use these tags from your documents in prompt processing only"

When I read the “in prompt” part, I thought I could somehow use them as variables or such “in the prompt description” below. I did not even make the connection to the results of the prompt only allowing these specific tags.

I would love to have an option that only uses tags that are already created in paperless. My thought-process is the following: I would like to "pre-create" my tags in paperless and afterwards paperless-ai takes these tags and adds them to the document if they are a good candidate.

There is the option to use existing data in settings. It will append all your tags and correspondents to the prompt

while we´re talking about this. Have you really thought that adding this to the prompt is a feasable solution? I think a lot of people have a bunch of tags. Isn´t this too much chars per prompt?

Of course I thought about it. You can't push your particular environment to all users, @mamema . It might not be the best practice for you, but for other people (myself included) it might be a workable solution. That way everyone can customize everything as needed. You have full control over the prompt.

What do you mean by 'force' it? You can use this option and pp-ai will automatically add all your data to the prompt or you do it by hand and create your own custom prompts as you need?

I simply mean that if I have a list of tags, for example "school", "work", "kids", "taxes", etc. it only uses these tags and dont create new tags. Sometimes the AI adds some really weird tasks to paperless. But maybe I need try not to overthink this and simply start with a basic setup tagged by AI and correct all my documents manually too. At the moment I try to find a simple way to pre-sort my documents with AI after I added all of my documents to my paperless instance.

I think it shouldn't be a problem if the context window is great enough? Please correct me if I am wrong.

i didn´t get this to work.
I´ve set the context window to the max value, but then changing trhe config from paperless-ai from "use no tags in prompt" to "use them", gives me an endless save circle of death. the container then has errors timeouts in the log. at the end nothing is processed.

I have this problem if I change for example the model but pasted the model name in from the command line. I want to evaluate this and then open up an issue
