TRANSPOSE MUSIC

i. How to do it:

i.1. in the Score, select a Cluster(jump: Cluster Node), Voice(jump: Voice Node), Measure(jump: Measure Node), Part(jump: Part Node) or Section(jump: Section Node);

i.2. from the Menu, under Macros, choose Transpose...;

i.3. in the floating window that opens, set the transposition parameters as follows:

i.4. click Apply changes (the check mark button) to execute.

ii. Hints:

  • only chromatic transposition is available;

  • when transposing, mind the current instrument's own transposition and concert pitch range (select its Part name in the Score, and find this information in the Editor);

  • use Edit/Undo to discard a bad transposition;

  • your chosen transposition parameters are saved for the current session, to help you transpose again by the same interval later on;

  • you don't need to select Transpose... from the menu for subsequent transpositions. Uncheck auto close in the Transpose... floating window, and keep tweaking the parameters and/or clicking the Apply changes button until the selection looks good to you in the Score. You do need to close the floating window to use playback, though;
