Instalation OK, but program wont open

Hi thanks for making this tool available. It looks like a really big contribution @arfon @carterenyi .

I installed the app with no problems. However when trying to open it the app crash.
I have tried:

• Download the .zip installer uncompress and install it.
• Download the the windows installer directly from the repository and install it.
  In this two cases the installation ends succesfully. However when trying to run the program as admin or as normal user the same thing happens: I can see the splashscreen and then it disapears with no error message.
  I have also tried to uninstall and install again as admin, but in every cases the result is the same.

I really want to try this tool, it looks like a really huge contribution to the MIR community.
