Showcase your skills with ease!

Skill Icons

The Skill Icons project allows you to stylishly showcase your skills in your GitHub README. With an easy-to-integrate interface, it offers a vast library of customizable icons representing a variety of popular technologies and tools. You can adjust the theme (light or dark) so that the icons match the visual style of your project, and center the icons for a more organized and visually appealing display.

Key Features:

  • Icon Specification: Customize your skills display by including a list of your technologies directly in the URL. Just modify the ?i= parameter with your desired skills.
  • Light and Dark Themes: Set the icon background to light or dark depending on your project theme.
  • Centering Icons: Use a simple HTML tag to align icons to the center, enhancing visual organization.
  • Comprehensive Icon List: A broad collection of icons is available, allowing you to showcase all your preferred skills and tools.

Specifying Icons

Copy and paste the code block below into your readme to add the skills icon element!

Change the ?i=javascript, html, css to a list of your skills separated by ","s! You can find a full list of icons here.

Themed Icons

Some icons have a dark and light themed background. You can specify which theme you want as a url parameter.

This is optional. The default theme is dark.

Change the &theme=light to either dark or light. The theme is the background color, so light theme has a white icon background, and dark has a black-ish.

Light Theme Example:

Dark Theme Example:

Centering Icons

Want to center the icons in your readme? The SVGs are automatically resized, so you can do it the same way you'd normally center an image.
