Describe the bug

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Start COLUMNS=120 ROWS=120 goose CLI from another process without TTY support

Expected behavior
Expect goose to print line up to 120 characters, instead always prints 80 width.

Please provide following information:

  • OS & Arch: Darwin 24.3.0 Darwin Kernel Version 24.3.0: Thu Jan 2 20:24:16 PST 2025; root:xnu-11215.81.4~3/RELEASE_ARM64_T6000 arm64
  • Interface: CLI]
  • Version: v1.0.9
  • Extensions enabled: custom MCP only
  • Provider & Model: sonnet 3.7
process.env.COLUMNS = process.stdout.columns.toString();
process.env.ROWS = process.stdout.rows.toString();

This worked for python goose CLI.
