The Graphical User Interface works but has proven to be a significant maintenance burden:

  • Thousands of lines of additional code to support
  • requires functionality such as live-reloading of project configuration and services that are not needed for any other Betty operations, and that require complex solutions
  • Only a single maintainer, who does not use the GUI themselves
