Why Argo CD shows hashes of annotated tag but not commit to which tag points?

After updating from v2.4.28 to v2.11.4 in the SYNC STATUS field we start to see hash of tag not commit.

We have a tool which uses ArgoCD to make decisions during release. Tool is not healthy now since there is no commit hash anymore.

Why ArgoCD started to show tag' hash but not commit' hash?
Is it bug or feature (can't find anything in release notes)?
Will it be okay to request fixing it as it was in 2.4? :)
