Uploading Content to Rashomon:

Things to Consider

Please make sure you are uploading original and unedited content to Rashomon. Editing or transcoding (changing to another format) will likely remove the metadata that Rashomon needs from the file and make it very difficult to synchronize.

Recording in the highest available resolution gives Rashomon's analytic tools much more to work with, but consider the space constraints of your device and use a lower quality if need be.

Uploading

Rashomon's upload page is designed for use on both desktop and mobile browsers.

For systems where a general file choice dialog pops up, e.g. Mac, Linux and Windows with Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, Internet Explorer, etc. press the "Browse" button and select the file(s) from your drive. Alternatively, you can drag and drop files (or groups of them) onto the box in the middle of the screen.

On Android devices, you will be prompted to pick an application to choose the file from. This can be 'Gallery', or other apps you may have installed such as Dropbox or Google Drive.

On iOS, if you are running a recent version (6+), you will be prompted to take a new photo or video or choose an existing file. Choose the video you'd like to upload. Older versions of iOS do not support file upload dialogs at all; in this case you should transfer the file to a non-mobile device and use a standard browser per the instructions above.
