Intro to Graph Databases: Neo4j

It consists of sample code for creating and querying a graph databse using neo4j, which belongs to NoSQL family

Getting Started

Recommended basic knowledge of Databases and Graphs

Prerequisites

Just a 'Computer System': Unix,Windows or MAC ...

Installing

Refer:-

Neo4j: https://neo4j.com/docs/operations-manual/current/installation/

For windows:-

Download neo4j from: http://neo4j.com/download/.

Extract it into system.

Install it by running 'bin\neo4j install-service' using command prompt(cmd with admin rights!!) from root directory

Run neo4j server using 'bin\neo4j start'(or just neo4j start form respective directory..)

Start neo4j browser 'http://localhost:7474/'

Login, check out the various options,sample code,tutorial,documentation etc. and try your own codes...

Running the tests

In browser:-

Enter the code in the code-window and execute..

View the results in form of graphs,rables,text etc below it..

Check out options to save the scripts and load cypher(import),cloud sync etc..
