aMule slows down when I change window

Hi, I have a strange but annoying issue with aMule (v. 2.3.2) with MacOS Mojave.

When I am downloading some fila and looking at aMule's interface, it downloads normally at the maximum speed my connection or the peers allow.

However, if I change the window and i go to, let's say, write someting on Google Docs, or watch photos on my Mac, the velocity drops to 10-20KBps, so I have to stay with the aMule window opened, and I can't work while I'm downloading. When I go back to aMule's interface, the speed begins to raise until I reach again maximum velocity.
