Would it be possible to only allow it to make the drink when a glass is detected on the platform?

Not yet. However you could write a python script that immediately cancels a Cocktail, when no glasses placed on the platform. But I'm also working on a different feature that already includes like 90% of the work needed to include something like that. So I can also just natively add that then.
