persistence breaks upon closing navbar

State of page is not saved when navbar is closed through ticking cross.

Although it looks like I filled out the page up to that point, to the app, it looks like nothing is filled out prior to where I pressed the X to close out the menu

I am not sure that this is actually true... I was checking this and it still happens, even if I don't close the menu.

I think this bug is now fixed with the new version I deployed. At least I could not reproduce. If you have time, @kallewesterling could you please check that this bug no longer occurs?
