Describe the bug

Custom sort order is broken in various ways. I don't know if these issues all come from the same root cause or not.

  • Switching from a different sort order, such as "alphabetical", to "custom sort order" does not update the view. The tasks will remain in whatever order they were in for the previous sorting type until you close and reopen Planify. If "custom sort order" was the last option picked, then after closing and reopening, they will be in the custom sort order again.

  • Custom sort order is not synchronizing with Nextcloud manual sort order regardless of the above. Moving items around in Planify's manual order does not change the order in Nextcloud Tasks or vice versa. This was supposed to have been addressed in a previous issue but the problem seems to exist in the current version of Planify anyway. I tried doing a manual sync with the sync button.

Expected behavior

  • Changing the sort mode to "custom sort order" should immediately reorder items to whatever they were manually sorted to, and should not require reloading the app to update the view.

  • Custom sort order should be synchronized with Nextcloud Tasks whenever a sync is performed.

Desktop (please complete the following information):

  • Planify 4.11.6
  • Kubuntu Linux 24.04 with KDE Plasma 5.27.11
