Internet of Things (IoT), refers to a network of physical objects, “things” that are embedded with sensors, software and other technologies to allow connectivity, data capture and exchange with systems via/over the internet. IoT has allowed applications such as remote weather monitoring for agricultural use where weather parameters are monitored to determine planting and harvesting seasons, determine irrigation times among others.
