Remove dead code

There is a lot of dead code from an older version of the tracer. That old tracer uses a different algorithm which is explained here.
The primary difference (if I remember correctly) is that the old trace worked on cache level only, whereas the new trace works on pushbuffers.

Some of it was removed in 65c9d97 but a lot of dead code remains.

The issue will remain open until the code is cleaner.
