Puts me in chao garden any time i leave a level

So basically whenever I go on Sonic adventure 2 and go into a stage, every time I finish it/leave it comes up with the title screen. But it is in Japanese.

Steps to reproduce the behaviour :

1. Go on sonic adventure 2
2. Go on any stage
3. Leave the stage
4. Puts you on title screen but in japanese
5. Puts you in the chao garden as sonic

It usually puts you back on stage select. But it doesn't for me
