Azure AD Accaunt

You need email at hotmail.com or ... or account at Microsoft

Example: wizio[@]hotmail.com

goto Azure Portal -> Azure Active Directory -> Users -> New user

Enter:

Name: Your Name ( does not matter )

User name: azure[@]wiziohotmail.onMicrosoft.com ( azure@ as your preferences, wiziohotmail as your email )

Create User

Select this user -> Directory role -> ADD -> Global administrator

That is all...

Azure Shpere Device Communication Service (manually)

If you have installed SDK skip this

Install TAP-Windows Adapter V9

Open Windows - Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections Change Adapter settings

  • Select TAP-Windows Adapter V9 and rename to: Asure Sphere
  • Adapter Properties - Configure - set Media always on
  • Adapter Properties - uncheck all without TCP/IPv4
  • TCP/IPv4 Properties - use static IP: 192.168.35.1 Mask: 255.255.255.0
  • Test: ping 192.168.35.1

Download Azure Shpere Device Communication Service (it is folder from SDK) and unpack anywhere, Open folder, INSTALL.BAT Run as Administrator, goto Windows Services and run this service...

Test: azsphere dev show-attached
